Stephanie (Steph) Romero

Steph is a Bronx, NY native who has been living in York for 12 years and working for Community Progress Council for 11 years. She is excited to learn more about and to advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community in York, including her own non-binary teenager. They have taught Steph so much about the community and about how to thrive as their true selves with establishment of healthy boundaries and living bravely. Steph believes that Rainbow Rose Center is a much needed provider in York and she wants to share our mission, work, and resources. As a very proud Puerto Rican, Steph recognizes that her community is in need of support, education, acceptance, and services. She's looking forward to assisting the organization become more accessible with bilingual support. Thank you for taking the time to read about me and I hope to be an asset to your organization. Steph lives in East York with her husband, two children, two birds, and a cat named Charlotte.
