Laura is a Maryland native and attended York College of Pennsylvania where she earned her BA in English and met her husband. After working as a Managing Editor for five years at a Maryland-based publishing company, she decided on a career change and earned her BS in Geology at Towson University. She migrated back to Pennsylvania and omw works as a Senior Geologist and Project Manager. She lives in York County with her husband and three dogs. She enjoys encouraging students in STEM or anything else they feel passionate about. She is passionate about equity, diversity, and inclusion. She's a dog-lover to the extreme and an animal-lover in general, as well as an avid rock collector who also enjoys reading, gardening, and lounging.
