The HGMC “Won’t You Be My Gaybor” composition contest encourages participants to write a short story or poem with the theme of “Out and Proud in PA” which highlights the way(s) which your community or another organization has played an important role in supporting queer youth. There is no word limit for the piece, but a reading of the composition should fit within a 2–3-minute timeframe. Winning selections will be awarded a $100 dollar prize and will be asked to read their piece during the upcoming HGMC concerts. Writers should be ages 13 to 24.
All submissions can be submitted to president@harrisburggaymenschorus.org! Submissions for Lebanon/Waynesbororo shows is May 13, and Epharata, Harrisburg, and York shows is May 24.
