We are excited to share two new research opportunities from Penn Nursing designed to support families of LGBTQ+ youth and strengthen affirming communication at home.
Penn Nursing is currently recruiting parents and youth nationwide to participate in paid research studies evaluating the GIST and Parents ASSIST programs. These programs use educational videos, self-guided online modules, expert-led group sessions, and interactive activities to help families build confidence and skills for meaningful health and wellness conversations.
Who can participate:
- Parents of lesbian, bisexual cisgender female, nonbinary, or transgender youth ages 12 to 18 for the GIST Program
- Parents of cisgender gay and bisexual male youth ages 12 to 18 for the Parents ASSIST Program
Participants are compensated for their time, and all sessions are virtual, making it accessible for families anywhere.
Learn more at www.parentsassist.org or contact the research team directly at parentsassist@nursing.upenn.edu or 215-898-9054.
Please share this opportunity with families who may benefit from supportive, affirming resources.
