This event raised over $813 for the Rainbow Rose Center!
Thank you to the York Revolution and everyone who purchased tickets and came out to the event!

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Baseball season was indefinitely postponed. However, the York Revolution offered the Rainbow Rose Center the opportunity to have a fundraiser during Pride Month! Following social distancing guidelines through limited access, this Pride Patio Party event created an enjoyable evening “out” with friends and family!

Ticket sales will benefited the Rainbow Rose Center in York with the full $15 ticket price coming back to the organization. We sold 100 tickets and had 89 attendees despite some ominous weather and a brief downpour!

The event included vendor and education tables, live entertainment, cash bar and a bar menu guests enjoyed!

York's Inclusive Answer to Pride

October 10th, 2020

Equality Fest was originally inspired by the May 20, 2014 decision of the U.S. Federal District Court allowing Pennsylvania marriages for those within the LGBTQIA+ community. We now also celebrate the June 26, 2015 Supreme Court’s legalization of same-sex marriages in the whole United States and now the June 15, 2020 Supreme Court decision holding that federal law Title VII prohibits employment discrimination against LGBTQIA+ workers.

The Rainbow Rose Center Board joins forces annually with several like minded organizations, faith communities, retailers, artists, politicians, and committed citizens to produce a full day which fosters connections, awareness and activism within the beautifully diverse citizenship of York County, PA.

The festival features speakers, music, dance, theater, poetry, spoken word, and performance art as well as live visual art and strolling performers, retail vendors, informational tables, and history displays. he event actively celebrates the full inclusion of ALL wonderfully diverse citizens in ALL aspects of civic life – regardless of race, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, mental or physical ability, social status, or economic status.
