York: Community Open House & Activity Day
Rainbow Rose Center invites families, youth, and community members to a welcoming, interactive open house designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and connection. During this drop-in event, participants will have the opportunity to explore our space, learn about our programs, and engage in hands-on activities that support learning, wellness, and self-expression.
Guests will be invited to tour the Rainbow Rose Center and meet staff and volunteers who will share how our organization supports individuals and families through inclusive, community-centered programming. Throughout the event, several interactive mini-activity stations will be available for participants of all ages. These activities are designed to be accessible, engaging, and meaningful, encouraging families to learn and create together.
Hands-on experiences may include a creative expression station where participants can make affirmation art, bookmarks, or small collage pieces; a mindfulness and wellness corner featuring simple breathing exercises and tools such as stress balls or sensory activities; and a community connection activity where guests can contribute to a collaborative art display by sharing what helps them feel supported and connected. Activities are designed to be flexible and drop-in, allowing participants to engage at their own pace.
This open house is intended to create a welcoming environment where community members can feel comfortable exploring, asking questions, and connecting with one another. By combining creative activities, wellness-based learning, and behind-the-scenes insight into how a community organization operates, the event highlights that learning can happen anywhere, and that it can be joyful, inclusive, and rooted in real-life experiences.
Rainbow Rose Center’s participation in Remake Learning Days supports the shared goal of connecting people across York County to meaningful learning opportunities. This event offers families a chance to discover local resources, build community connections, and experience learning that supports both personal growth and community well-being.
